Being physically fit and healthy is just as important as academic success!
Therefore, our Physical Education Program serves all students in PK through Grade 5. Our PE instructors follow the Fitnessgram Pacing Calendar along with the NYS scope and sequence.
Our Adaptive Physical Education Program utilizes TGMD3 assessments along with the monthly calendar activities in order to allow all students to access skills and strategies through multiple entry points.
Following the monthly guide, our APE instructor prepares our students to participate in culminating community events, such as Track and Field, Soccer, Bowling, Volleyball, Basketball, Dance, Carnival and Field Day Events.
All students in grades 3-5 participate in our annual Field Day.
Students are engaged throughout the day by rotating from station to station. It is a culmination of skills and strategies taught throughout the year. Students are assigned randomly to a team (Red or Blue), and collect points which are scored at the end of the day at which point a winning team is announced.
Students are encouraged to display good sportsmanship and teamwork.
All students in PK-2 participate in Carnival Day. Students rotate from station to station, engaging in activities that address the skills and strategies that have been taught throughout the year. Families are encouraged to participate in Field Day and Carnival Events.
