Mission Statement

 In partnership with students, staff, families, and the greater community, District 22 is committed to providing all students, including English Language Learners and students with disabilities, with cognitively engaging and supportive opportunities that prepare them for the progression of learning and post-secondary readiness as required by the Common Core Learning Standards.  With a unified set of high expectations, our students will become self-directed learners and critical thinkers who are inspired to excel, reach their full potential, and lead academically, socially, and personally fulfilling lives.

Mission Statement

 As educators, we strive to create a secure and nurturing learning environment for all children and staff. We seek to support and enhance individual learning styles, cultural diversity and respect for self and others. Focusing on the cooperative partnership of school and home, in educating children, we, together, strive to promote peace, discipline, and learning. We seek to generate and implement rules and logical consequences, to teach conflict resolution, decision making skills, responsibility and independence.

 Based upon a belief that all children can achieve high standards of excellence, we seek to implement a rigorous curriculum, in line with Common Core Learning Standards, that provides opportunities for acquiring skills and strategies through independent and cooperative learning activities. We emphasize the development of critical thinking and problem solving skills along with the use of modern technology.

 We invite and encourage cultural arts and extra-curricular activities.

We welcome and encourage the participation of parents and the school community in the teaching and learning process and in school events.
